MONGIONI FALLS TOUR

THE DRIVE
The adventure starts with an off-road drive. Roller coaster through the jungle of Kilimanjaro twisting and turning up and down hill as you make your way toward base camp. Take in the amazing view before coming back for lunch. Enjoy local food from tree to table.
From the central clock tower in Moshi by the Nakumatt, the drive to base camp is about half an hour.
After the tour, participants meet at the base camp to enjoy a fresh lunch with both meat and vegetarian options while eating on a hill top overlooking the region and the town of Moshi from a far.
During lunch, participants will also have the opportunity to see the charcoal-making equipment and potentially the process.
THE FALLS
Turn the last twist of the path to emerge from the canopy and be awed! Out of nowhere experience a sensory overload hearing the Niagara roar of Kilimanjaro powered by thousands of gallons of water spilling over a cliff towering above. After claiming a comfy rock, learn the local history.
About two hours after hiking from the base camp, participants will have time to enjoy and hear the thrill of the falls. Of course, there will also be time to take pictures to share the experience of a lifetime with others.
After settling into the area and finding a nearby rock to rest on, the English-speaking tour guide will provide an overview of the regions history if requested. The guide will also share the significance of the Falls to the local tribes people.
