THE DRIVE
The adventure starts with an off-road drive. Roller coaster through the jungle of Kilimanjaro twisting and turning up and down hill as you make your way toward base camp. Take in the amazing view before coming back for lunch. Enjoy local food from tree to table.
THE PATH
Hike the same path the Germans walked when they colonized the area over 100 years ago. Conquer the path as you make your way to the falls from base camp. Walking along a small creek be amazed as you take in all the treasures the jungle has to offer. From monkeys to flowers, the surprises await.
THE FALLS
Turn the last twist of the path to emerge from the canopy and be awed! Out of nowhere experience a sensory overload hearing the Niagara roar of Kilimanjaro powered by thousands of gallons of water spilling over a cliff towering above. After claiming a comfy rock, learn the local history.
THE IMPACT
The sustainably-made charcoal is a step toward reversing the trend of deforestation in the Kilimanjaro region. The organization currently employees around 20 local community members. With funds generated from the Mongioni Falls tours the company is seeking to expand its positive footprint!
THE PROCESS
After receiving support from Polish Aid, Clement employed local community members to produce sustainably-made charcoal. Combining fallen twigs and leaves with some yam starch, the non-profit makes charcoal. The charcoal is then used by locals as a substitute to wood from trees.

THE BEGINNING
It all started with a piece of land. Clement Maro, a tax accountant by day, inherited a piece of land from his father in the town of North Uru. Wanting to put the land to good use while supporting the local community, Clement was inspired to start a non-profit organization.
